The West Torrens District Girls Young Eagles Program started in 2015/16.

Our current Girls Young Eagles Program is designed to develop the skills of young girls aged 10-16yo and it will aim:

  • To help you learn more about the game from current players at West Torrens, Scorpions and Australian level.
  • To develop an appropriate attitude and discipline to sport and life in general - have loads of fun!

The program spans 5 Wednesday sessions prior to Christmas and recommences in February for a further 5 weeks

16 girls have come through our program and 10+ girls have gone on to play in our 2nd grade women’s team, which indicates they are having a great time learning the basic and are having a lot of fun with their friends.

This program provides a much needed development program for girls wanting to play cricket, we invite all schools to make contact and we will work with the small group of girls throughout the year.

Several of our girls have gone onto play SAPSASA girls cricket and some still train with us so we cater for all levels and encourage the girls to have fun with friends while learning the basics.

Trainings are held on Wednesday afternoons from 4.30pm-5.30pm at Henley Grange Memorial Oval.

As part of the Program you will be supplied with a Girls Young Eagles shirt, shorts and cap.
